Postgraduate Essay Prize Winner

The Postcolonial Studies Association and Journal of Postcolonial Writing are pleased to announce that the first winner of the PSA/JPW Postgraduate Essay Prize is:  JOSHUA MCNAMARA of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Joshua’s essay, “Against ‘Third Cinema’: The Non-revolutionary Revolution of Ian Gabriel’s Forgiveness” was described by the judges of the prize as ‘theoretically astute and lucid’, ‘eloquently written, intelligent and well-structured’ and ‘sophisticated and authoritative’.
